Welcome

Are you seeking a compassionate and affirming space to explore your unique journey? Through a strengths-based, culturally sensitive lens I support adolescents, adults, and families in coping with the impact of trauma, anxiety, and depression. I also enjoy supporting clients navigating life transitions and identity exploration. Together, we will establish a safe, trusting therapeutic alliance as the basis of our work together. From there, we can co-create an individualized treatment plan tailored to help you meet your goals while increasing your sense of self-worth and fostering resilience in the face of life’s challenges.

While I work with clients from a variety of backgrounds, identities, and presenting concerns, I specialize in supporting the LGBTQIA+ community. As a trans-identified provider, I bring a firsthand understanding of the challenges and nuances of navigating identity exploration, allowing me to offer empathetic and affirming support to a diverse array of individuals.

About Me

I received my M.A. in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA. I completed my practicum at a local agency in Marin County where I provided individual and group therapy to LGBTQIA+ adolescents and adults in both school-based and outpatient settings. I also have experience providing short-term crisis counseling and worked with older adults for several years prior to graduate school.

What I offer

I provide individual therapy to adolescents and adults, as well as for partnerships and families. I also provide group therapy. You can view my current groups here.

My approach

While I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities, my work is mainly centered in a relational, psychodynamic, attachment-based framework. Sessions with me often aim to connect your past experiences with current life challenges and involve collaborative problem-solving to identify how you can make choices in relationships that better serve you. I believe that the roles we take on in our relationships may also show up in the therapy room, and may use the therapeutic relationship itself as a way of naming and identifying patterns of relating in the here-and-now.

Next steps

I offer free 20-minute consultations either virtually or over the phone to potential clients. This consultation is for me to introduce myself and the way I work and for you to get your questions answered about me or therapy in general so that you can determine whether my services fit your needs.

Embarking on the path of self-discovery and seeking support can be both empowering and transformative. I understand that taking the first step can be daunting, but know that you’re not alone. If you’re ready to embark on this journey of self-exploration and healing, I encourage you to reach out! Your well-being is worth the investment.
